![]() It's still a fun game, though, so those who haven't played it before should consider trying it out. It doesn't have any significant animation, and while the story is moving at a fast pace, there's little in the way of character models or anything else that would really make the game memorable. The graphics in Tick Tock: A Tale for Two is fairly well done, although it might be a little boring at times. The sound effects used are quite nice, and the entire game is just like playing in first person, with no third-person view required. As you progress through the game, the puzzles get harder, but this still provides a nice change of pace after the intense first part of the game. Occasionally, the puzzles themselves will be harder than the rest, but again this is an element of the game that will depend upon your expertise and what sort of puzzles you're trying to complete. The music is soft and soothing, and it fits the story nicely. The graphics and picture detail in Tick Tock: A Tale for Two is fairly good, though occasionally the action will seem a little slow at times. However, once you've mastered them, they are incredibly satisfying to complete. Some of them require precise timing to work and require lots of manipulation of the screen. ![]() There are many different types of puzzle to be found, with each featuring its own style of presentation. The use of puzzles makes them all worthwhile, as finding the right combination of items to make the right item will definitely provide points. The first few rooms in the parlor are relatively easy, but the later ones are more difficult. For instance, mixing some sandalwood with water gives Jane's shoes a lovely pink glow, and mixing a strawberry with a bottle of nail polish creates a pretty, small flower. Most of the game involves finding the recipes Jane needs to access each room in the parlor, and how to blend them into the surroundings to give them a realistic look and feel. Chapter one introduces you to Jane and her surroundings, and the subsequent chapters fill in all the information needed to unravel the mystery surrounding the parlor. Tick Tock features a great deal of hidden object scenes spread out over a number of chapters. Once she escapes, she needs to find out who's been placing the recipes in there, which is where she gets out of trouble again. One of these items, a book that holds several hidden recipes, allows her to escape. In an effort to get out, she uses a few special items that have been tucked away in her dad's safe. What happens next is that she ends up trapped inside while the clockwork magician keeps on repeating the same phrase over again. But remember: time is ticking. To start the story, Jane must enter the parlor in order to retrieve her lost father's watch. Shout out instructions, discuss what you see, and listen.
